Metro2 is a credit compliance standard established by the CDIA in 1997.
It mandates that any information reported on a consumer's credit profile must meet specific points of compliance.
If an account does not meet the criteria for compliance, it cannot be reported, as this would compromise the integrity of the information.
Despite Experian, Equifax, & TransUnion implementing this standard, they have not provided adequate education or communication about it.
Consequently, we are left with Factual Disputing as the only legal method to challenge negative items on a credit profile.
Although we do incorporate factual disputing, our primary focus is on Metro2's Compliance Standard.
This standard supports both the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, ensuring fair credit reporting and equal opportunity.
Unlike a “Credit Repair” company, The Credit Compliance Agency generates expert-level letters that challenge the fundamental accountability of the reported information.
Our approach examines whether an account should even be reported, rather than just its accuracy or ownership.
